Jane Veron
Jane is CEO of TAP Growth Advisors, a company focused on facilitating career reentry through entrepreneurship. She is also CEO The Acceleration Project (TAP), a nonprofit which harnesses the talent of professional women to accelerate small business growth. Jane is mission driven, seeking to mobilize women for economic impact, and merges her business strategy acumen with her public sector and nonprofit experience. Jane spent her career in strategic planning and marketing for Fortune 500 companies, working as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company, an executive at American Express, and as principal of her private consulting business. She also has experience in private equity and venture capital investing .
For over 15 years, Jane has also held leadership positions in the public and nonprofit sectors. Jane was recently elected to local government as Village Trustee. Jane chaired the Scarsdale Planning Board, the agency that rules on commercial and residential land use issues, served as President of the League of Women Voters of Scarsdale, led the Fox Meadow Neighborhood Association, and subsequently was elected Chair of the consortium of sixteen neighborhood associations. She also served on the executive committee of the local nonprofit organization, Scarsdale Edgemont Family Counseling. In 2007, in recognition of her sustained and significant impact on the community, Jane received the Mayor’s Award for Exceptional Leadership. Jane earned a BA magna cum laude from Yale University and an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School. She has been a member of numerous nonprofit boards and currently serves on Harvard's Women's Leadership Board, as a trustee of the Scarsdale Foundation and as a director of the Yale Westchester Alumni Association. Jane is also a member of Golden Seeds and the Regional Plan Association. |
